FORECAST:
Today was another record-breaking day, and it's also the first official heat wave of the summer, making today the 3rd consecutive day of 90 degrees-plus.
Bridgeport - Sikorsky Airport climate site reported a high temperature of 95 degrees, which breaks the old record of 94 degrees from 1966.
Even though temperatures didn't break the century mark here, it felt like it was 101 degrees.
Other parts of Fairfield County were hotter, with Norwalk hitting 100 degrees. Danbury hit 98 degrees, although felt like it was up to about 106 degrees with the humidity.
Tonight stays warm and muggy, and tomorrow will be a similar day, but temperatures will slightly drop. Tuesday was and will be the hottest of the week. Now, the high pressure ridge has peaked and will start to wane.
There are big temperatures drops coming our way starting Thursday, and there is also a risk of thunderstorms starting tomorrow.
It won't be as hot over the weekend, but there is a chance to see rain and thunderstorms at times.
