ALERTS: Flood Watch in effect from 2 p.m. today until 2 p.m. Friday.
FORECAST:
Showers and storms rolled in late yesterday afternoon, giving us a bit of relief from the heat though the humidity is still hanging around.
Our next weather story is all about rain. Expect showers and storms throughout the day, and some of them could be heavy enough to cause flash flooding in certain areas. You’ll definitely want to grab an umbrella before heading out today and keep it handy tomorrow, too.
Some showers might stick around into the first half of Friday. Temperatures today will be noticeably cooler, especially later in the day as the rain settles in. We’re looking at highs in the 70s and low-80s. Some spots might not even make it out of the 60s tomorrow.
The good news is that the weekend is shaping up nicely. Lower humidity, plenty of sunshine, and highs in the low-80s. It will be a much-needed break after a soggy stretch.
