Connecticut's former top prosecutor will pay $7,000 to settle a major ethics investigation.
Richard Colangelo was accused of hiring the daughter of deputy state budget director Kosta Diamantis in exchange for salary increases for his staff.
Colangelo resigned in 2022. Diamantis is facing a separate extortion trial over school construction contracts.
As part of the settlement, Colangelo did not admit wrongdoing.
