A group of Fairfield Girl Scouts had the opportunity Wednesday to see what it takes to run the town.
As part of Girl Scouts in Government Day, 42 girls spent the morning with a town department or office. This included the First Selectman's Office, animal control and the tax collector.
The girls were able to ask questions and learn about the different positions.
In the afternoon, the Scouts toured the police and fire departments, along with one of the town's office spaces.
