The body of a 6-year-old Stratford boy was found by civilian boaters Friday afternoon, Stratford police say.

His body was found a half a mile away from where he fell into the water.
Stratford and the Bridgeport police marine units rushed to the scene to remove his body from the water.
The boy's body was transported to the State of Connecticut Medical Examiner's Office where an autopsy will be conducted.
