A three-mile run at Seaside Park in Bridgeport on Saturday aimed to build awareness about the importance of staying fit.
Run Club 203 brought out about 50 people to participate in the group's fourth run of the year.
Dr. Jonathan Charlestin, of Charlestin Chiropractic, sponsored the event.
"When we see a big turnout, it's great...a lot of people don't associate healthy with Bridgeport, but we're trying to change that narrative," Charlestin explained.
"There's a lot of stuff in Bridgeport that's negative but we're trying to do something positive...health is wealth, stay running and active, so that's why we tried to create this," said Jeremy Daniel, of Run Club 203.
Charlestin and Daniel say the runs will continue through every Saturday of the summer.
